We can’t wait to share the latest developments of our Airtouch at the prestigious SID Display Week 2019 Symposium!

Our lead engineer, Luigi Bagnato, will talk about Hand Skeleton Modelling with Computer Vision and how this enables the next generation of Applications in Medical and Gaming.

If you share our passion about Computer Vision, please come meet us!

Session 57: Novel & Emerging Technologies
San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Room LL20A
Thursday, May 16, 2019, 10:40 AM – 12:00 PM

Luigi Bagnato is an engineer and scientist passionate about computer vision and machine learning technologies. In charge of developing early-vision algorithms, stereo vision systems, multi-camera calibration at Advanced Silicon, Luigi’s current focus is the AirTouch technology which integrates computer-vision hand gestures recognition and PCAP Touch gestures. After completing his M.S. in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Perugia in Switzerland, Luigi pursued his PhD in Signal Processing at EPFL applied to omnidirectional light field processing and 3D reconstruction. That work led to the international patenting of an omnidirectional imaging device prototype, and over 20 publications on omnidirectional vision system design, scene understanding, graph signal processing. Luigi is currently serving as a jury expert at EPFL for computer vision and graph processing master projects. When not working, Luigi enjoys biking through the Swiss Alps and dancing Lindy Hop.
