Advanced Silicon IC products focus on mixed-mode, high-voltage and high-power applications which combine complex low-voltage CMOS processing and high-voltage output interfaces on the same silicon.

The driving schemes for Thin Film Transistor (TFT) active matrix displays exploit this IC configuration wherever digital data or analog video waveforms are processed and level shifted by HV output stages. Timing controllers synchronize data transfer, while power management peripherals generate the different supplies required by a Flat Panel Display (FPD) module.

Motor drivers and head drivers for ink-jet printers need power output interfaces with high-voltage capabilities up to 40V, and current ratings up to 2A. The use of advanced HV-CMOS technologies including compact DMOS devices enhances the integration density, performance, and power consumption of our combo chips. These monolithic systems incorporate multiple DC and stepper drivers, advanced motor control functions and power management blocks.

The cooling Fan Modules are drivers for the widespread types of single and three phases brushless DC motors.

In applications with limited volumes, as is often the case for high-end devices, the development of a dedicated IC is less frequent. Thanks to its original business model, Advanced Silicon offers advantageous system-on-chips (SoCs) produced according to the highest quality standards even for small-volume products.

The company encourages its clients to consider this option and collaborates with them to define the scope of integration. Subsequent feasibility studies, where design and production aspects are considered, often show that Advanced Silicon's ASIC solutions bring significant advantages over existing implementations.

Currently circuits are being developed for special displays used in medical and avionics products. It is foreseen that the product offer should extend to other segments of these markets.
